飞上天的乌龟

A TORTOISE IN THE SKY

1.A tortoise lived near a pond,

2.and he often walked slowly on the ground.

2.One day, he saw some wild ducks flying in the sky.

3."Well, I wish I could fly like the wild ducks,

4.even once."he thought.

5. Then he got an idea.

6.He saw some wild ducks looking for food. He said to them,

8."Wild ducks, I would like to show you a pond. 

9.There are a lot of loach in the pond."

10."That's great! Let's go!"said the ducks.

11."Please hold this stick so that I can fly, too."said the tortoise.

12.Each duck bit an end of the stick, 

13.and the tortoise bit the middle.

14."Don't open your mouth before we get to the pond,

15.or you will fall," 

16.said the ducks to the tortoise.

17.In this way, they flew into the sky.

18."I made it! I can fly," the tortoise thought.

19. Soon they saw the pond and the ducks wanted to land,

20.but the tortoise still wanted to fly.

21.So he opened his mouth and said,"We have not arrived." 

22.As he said that, he fell to the ground.
