Passage Thirty-three

1. Henry worked in an office in a large city.

2. He worked hard, but he always looked forward to his vacations.

3. He often visited the seaside, but one year he noticed an ad in a newspaper.

4. The ad said that people could experience country life, stay for a few weeks at West Hill Farm, and enjoy good food, fresh air, horse riding, hiking, and fishing. It promised to be an affordable and exciting adventure.

5. Henry thought it sounded like a great idea.

6. He decided to spend a month at West Hill Farm, hoping to enjoy the activities, which would be a refreshing change from relaxing by the seaside and swimming.

7. He wrote a letter to the farmer saying that he would like to stay there for the entire month of July.

8. On July 1st, he left for West Hill Farm.

9. However, just four days later, he returned home.
