Chapter 5:Resilience and Growth Life at Lowood School became very difficult for me. The discipline at the school was very strict, and everyone had to obey. We had to wake up early every day for long hours of study and work. Although life was so hard, I learned to be strong. I started to adapt to life here and gradually found my own rhythm. However, deep down, I still missed my home. One day, the teacher asked me to read a book to the whole class. I was very nervous, but I tried hard to overcome my fear. When I finished reading, the teacher smiled at me. The teacher's smile made me feel warm. It made me work harder, wanting to do better. I knew that I had found a place for myself here. After a few months, I gradually became one of the best students in the class. My hard work was recognized by both the teachers and my classmates. Although life was still tough, I no longer felt so lonely. |
