Sausage Trouble with the Puppy

1．

列那狐和花猫蒂贝尔在路上遇见小狗古杜瓦。

Reynard the Fox and Tibert the Cat met a puppy named Goudouois on the road.

2．

古杜瓦的主人把肉肠放在高处，它够不着，正急得团团转。

Goudouois’s owner had placed some sausages high up, and the little dog was running in circles, trying to reach them.

3．

列那和蒂贝尔装出一副好心样子，说愿意帮它拿下来。

Reynard and Tibert pretended to be helpful and offered to get the sausages down for him.

4．

蒂贝尔动作敏捷，一下子跳上架子，叼住了肉肠。

Tibert leapt up swiftly and grabbed the sausages with her teeth.

5．

就在这时，列那狐一把抢过肉肠，转身撒腿就跑。

At that moment, Reynard snatched the sausages from her and ran off.

6．

蒂贝尔气坏了，立刻追了上去。

Tibert was furious and immediately gave chase.

7．

她追上狐狸，不动声色地拦住去路，微笑着说：“你累了吧？休息一下再吃也不迟。”

She caught up with Reynard and calmly blocked his path, smiling, “You must be tired. Why not rest a bit before eating?”

列那狐叼着肉肠喘着气，放在地上休息一下。

Reynard, panting with the sausages in his mouth, set them on the ground to catch his breath.

9．

就在这一瞬间，蒂贝尔猛地扑上去，抢走了肉肠。

In that instant, Tibert sprang forward and snatched the sausages away.

10．

她带着肉肠爬上高架，躲到一个狐狸够不着的地方。

She climbed up a wooden structure and hid where the fox couldn’t reach her.

11．

列那狐在下面又急又气，跳脚大骂，却毫无办法。

Reynard raged below, stomping and shouting, but there was nothing he could do.

12．

小狗古杜瓦眼巴巴地看着两人争抢，最后一口也没吃上。

Little Goudouois watched the whole fight sadly—and ended up with nothing at all.
