动物们来告状
The Animals Complain

1. 在一个动物王国里，动物们都过得不太安宁。

   In the kingdom of animals, everyone was a bit uneasy.

2. 因为有一只聪明又狡猾的狐狸，名字叫列那。

   Because of a clever and sly fox named Reynard.

3. 他常常骗人、偷吃、制造麻烦。

   He often lied, stole, and caused trouble.

4. 狗熊勃伦最生气，他的蜂蜜被偷光了。

   Bear Brun was the angriest—his honey was all gone.

5. 老狼伊桑格兰说：“他骗走了我的老婆！”

   Old Wolf Isengrim said, "He tricked away my wife!"

6. 母鸡布鲁安哭着说：“列那吃了我三个孩子！”

   Hen Bruin cried, "Reynard ate three of my babies!"

7. 动物们越来越愤怒，决定一起去找国王。

   The animals got more and more angry. They decided to go to the king.

8. 狮子国王坐在王宫大殿里听大家的投诉。

   The Lion King sat in his palace and listened to the complaints.

9. 狗熊第一个大喊：“陛下，请替我做主！”

   Bear Brun shouted first, "Your Majesty, please help me!"

10. 狼也站起来：“列那是个坏蛋！他不该自由自在！”

   The wolf stood up too. "Reynard is bad! He should not be free!"

11. 母鸡也扑腾着翅膀说：“请惩罚他！”

   The hen flapped her wings and said, "Please punish him!"

12. 狮子国王听了，非常生气。

   The Lion King became very angry after hearing this.

13. 他大喊一声：“来人！立刻召见列那！”

   He shouted, "Guards! Bring Reynard here at once!"

14. 一只聪明的兔子官员点头说：“我这就去！”

   A smart rabbit officer said, "I will go right now!"

15. 兔子来到列那的家，敲了敲门。

   The rabbit went to Reynard's house and knocked on the door.

16. “列那先生，国王请你去宫里受审。”

   "Mr. Reynard, the King wants you to come to court."

17. 列那没有害怕，反而笑了笑。

   Reynard wasn’t afraid. He just smiled.

18. “我病了，动不了。请告诉国王我很虚弱。”

   "I am sick and too weak to move. Please tell the King."

19. 兔子只好回去，把列那的话告诉国王。

   The rabbit went back and told the King what Reynard said.

20. 国王皱起眉头：“这个家伙，又想耍花招！”

   The King frowned. "That fox is playing tricks again!"

21. 狗熊听了，气得直跺脚。

   Bear Brun stomped his feet in anger.

22. “我们不能再等下去！他太狡猾了！”

   "We can’t wait anymore! He is too cunning!"

23. 狮子国王点点头，说：“那就派一位强壮的大臣去！”

   The Lion King nodded. "Then send a strong minister!"

24. 老狼站出来说：“让我来吧，我一定把他带回来！”

   The old wolf stepped forward. "Let me go. I will bring him back!"

25. 动物们都说：“让老狼去，他最了解列那。”

   The animals all said, "Let the wolf go. He knows Reynard best."

26. 狮子国王答应了，说：“那就去吧！”

   The Lion King agreed. "Go, then!"

27. 老狼立刻出发，心里想着怎么对付列那。

   The old wolf set out at once, thinking how to deal with Reynard.
