Chapter 2:  Belle’s Life

1. In a quiet little village, there lived a young girl named Belle.

2. She was smart and kind, and her favorite thing was reading books.

3. Every morning, she would go to the bookshop in town to borrow a book.

4. The villagers thought she was odd because she didn’t like to gossip or dress up like others.

5. She preferred stories about adventure, magic, and love.

6. To Belle, the village was too small and boring—she longed for a bigger world.

7. There was a man named Gaston, the most admired hunter in the village.

8. He was strong and confident, but also very full of himself.

9. Gaston wanted to marry Belle, but she didn’t like him at all.

10. She thought he was rude, arrogant, and didn’t understand her dreams.

11. Belle’s father, Maurice, was an inventor. He was a bit strange, but Belle loved him dearly.

12. One day, Maurice set off to present his invention at a fair.

13. He got lost in the forest during a storm.

14. He found a dark and mysterious castle and went in for shelter.

15. But inside lived a terrifying Beast.

16. The Beast believed Maurice was trespassing and locked him in the dungeon.

17. When Maurice didn’t return, Belle became very worried.

18. She rode through the forest and finally found the castle.

19. She rushed into the castle and demanded that the Beast release her father.

20. Belle offered to take her father’s place as prisoner.
