Chapter 8: The Fairy Godmother

1. Cinderella wept beside a bench in the garden, filled with despair,

2. and through her sobs whispered, 'My dream can never ever come true now...'

3. Just then, a gentle voice sounded beside her: 'Child, why are you crying so terribly?'

4. Cinderella looked up and found a kindly old woman standing before her,

5. holding a sparkling magic wand in her hand.

6. The old woman smiled kindly, her eyes full of love.

7. Cinderella asked in surprise, 'Who... who are you?'

8. 'I am your Fairy Godmother, my dear,' the old woman said gently,

9. 'I've come to help you fulfill your wish.'

10. Cinderella was astonished and overjoyed, but she couldn’t help shaking her head sadly:

11. 'But... my dress is ruined, and it's too late for me to go to the ball...'

12. The Fairy Godmother winked and laughed,

13. 'Don't worry, just leave it to me! As long as you have faith and kindness, anything is possible.'

14. With that, she glanced around and quickly spotted a large pumpkin in the corner of the yard.

15. She raised her wand and gave it a gentle wave, cheerfully chanting, 'Bibbidi-Bobbidi-Boo!'

16. And a miracle occurred!

17. The pumpkin suddenly began to grow and change shape, and in the blink of an eye it became a sparkling golden carriage.

18. Next, she turned a few little mice into strong white horses,

19. and Bruno the dog into a uniformed footman for the carriage.

20. Cinderella watched in astonishment, hardly believing her eyes.

21. The Fairy Godmother smiled and said, 'Now it's your turn, child.'

22. She waved the wand again,

23. and Cinderella's tattered dress immediately began to sparkle and magically change.

24. In no time, she was wearing a gorgeous gown of shimmering white,

25. and on her feet appeared a beautiful pair of crystal slippers.

26. Cinderella could hardly believe it. Was this really herself?

27. She was overjoyed and gave the Fairy Godmother a grateful smile.

28. The Fairy Godmother nodded in satisfaction,

29. but she still gave a reminder: 'Remember, this magic will only last until the stroke of midnight,

30. Once the clock strikes twelve, everything will return to how it was.'

31. Cinderella promised to remember, gratefully gave the Fairy Godmother a hug,

32. then excitedly stepped into the pumpkin carriage.

33. 'Off you go, dear, and enjoy the ball to your heart's content!' the Fairy Godmother said with a wave. The pumpkin carriage carried Cinderella off towards the royal palace.
