第10章：午夜钟声 Chapter 10: The Midnight Chime 1. 当钟声第二下、第三下敲响时，
As the clock struck a second and third time, 2. 灰姑娘猛然惊觉时间已经到了午夜。
Cinderella suddenly realized that it was already midnight. 3. “哦！十二点了！”灰姑娘吃了一惊，连忙松开王子的手。
"Oh no! It's twelve o'clock!" Cinderella gasped in shock and quickly let go of the Prince's hand. 4. 她顾不得多说，慌张地对王子说了一句：“对不起，请原谅我，我必须马上离开！”
Without time to explain, she said hurriedly to the Prince, "I'm sorry, please forgive me, but I must leave at once!" 5. 王子还来不及回应，灰姑娘已经提着裙子转身冲出了舞会大厅。
Before the Prince could respond, Cinderella had already lifted her skirt and turned to dash out of the ballroom. 6. 王子连忙追了上去，紧跟在她后面。
The Prince immediately ran after her, following close behind. 7. 灰姑娘拼命地奔跑，下宫殿的台阶时，一只水晶鞋从她脚上掉了下来。
Cinderella ran as fast as she could. As she ran down the palace steps, one of her glass slippers fell off her foot. 8. 她回头看了一眼那只鞋，但来不及捡起，继续向宫殿外跑去。
She glanced back at the lost slipper, but there was no time to retrieve it; she continued running out of the palace. 9. 灰姑娘跳上王宫外等候的南瓜马车，大喊一声：“快走！” 马车立刻飞驰而去。
Cinderella leapt into the pumpkin carriage waiting outside the palace and shouted, "Go, go!" The carriage immediately sped off. 10. 王子和皇宫的守卫们追到了宫殿门口，却只看到一辆马车在夜色中远去，
The Prince and the palace guards reached the palace gates only to see a carriage disappearing into the night, 11. 掉在台阶上的那只水晶鞋在月光下闪闪发亮。
with the lost glass slipper gleaming on the steps in the moonlight. 12. 马车在夜幕下飞快奔跑，但钟声仍在继续，
The carriage raced through the dark night, but the clock kept tolling, 13. 每一响都让灰姑娘的心悬得更紧。
each chime making Cinderella's heart pound harder. 14. 终于，当最后一下钟声敲响十二点时，魔法的时间到了。
Finally, as the last stroke marked twelve, the time of the magic came to an end. 15. 霎时间，马车又变回了普通的大南瓜，
In an instant, the carriage turned back into an ordinary giant pumpkin, 16. 白马变回了小老鼠，布鲁诺也变回了小狗，在路边停了下来。
