第13章：水晶鞋的奇迹

Chapter 13: The Miracle of the Glass Slipper

1. 就在小老鼠们和路西法对峙的紧要关头，灰姑娘在阁楼里灵机一动，赶紧对小鸟们说：“快去把布鲁诺找来！”

At the critical moment of the standoff between the mice and Lucifer, Cinderella had an idea. She quickly said to the birds in the attic, "Go and get Bruno!"

2. 几只小鸟嗖地飞出窗外。

A few birds zoomed out the window.

3. 不一会儿，灰姑娘的大狗布鲁诺就被惊醒，朝屋里冲了进来。

In no time, Cinderella's big dog Bruno was awakened and charged into the house.

4. 布鲁诺沿着小鸟的指引直奔楼梯口，对着路西法大声吠叫。

Following the birds' lead, Bruno ran straight to the foot of the attic stairs and barked loudly at Lucifer.

5. 路西法吓得毛都炸了起来，不敢继续挡路，转身就逃。

Lucifer arched his back in fright, fur standing on end; he dared not continue blocking the way and turned to flee.

6. 趁这个机会，杰克和格斯赶紧拖着钥匙继续上楼，终于把钥匙拖到了阁楼门口。

Seizing the chance, Jaq and Gus quickly dragged the key up the stairs, finally bringing it to the attic door.

7. 灰姑娘连忙接过钥匙，手忙脚乱地把门锁打开，冲出了房间。

Cinderella quickly took the key, fumbling to unlock the door, and burst out of the room.

8. 她飞奔下楼，正巧赶上公爵准备离开。

She raced downstairs and arrived just as the Duke was preparing to leave.

9. “请等一等！”灰姑娘在楼梯上喊道，“我也想试试那只水晶鞋！”

"Please wait!" Cinderella called from the stairs. "I would like to try on the glass slipper as well!"

10. 公爵一听有人喊，立刻停下脚步。

Hearing someone call out, the Duke immediately halted.

11. 继母和继姐们则惊得目瞪口呆。

The stepmother and stepsisters were dumbfounded.

12. “可是……她只是个女仆！”继母慌张地说，试图阻止灰姑娘。

"But... she's only a servant!" the stepmother protested anxiously, trying to stop Cinderella.

13. 公爵却正色说道：“国王的命令是让每位适龄姑娘都试鞋。”

The Duke replied firmly, "The King's orders are that every eligible maiden is to try on the shoe."

14. 说完，他示意随从将水晶鞋拿出来，让灰姑娘坐下试穿。

With that, he gestured for his footman to present the glass slipper and invited Cinderella to sit and try it on.

15. 继母眼看灰姑娘就要成功，情急之下伸出脚朝随从一绊！

Seeing that Cinderella was on the verge of success, the stepmother stuck out her foot in desperation and tripped the footman!

16. 随从一个踉跄，托盘上的水晶鞋飞了出去，掉在地上摔成了碎片。

The footman stumbled and the glass slipper flew off the pillow, crashing to the floor and shattering into pieces.

17. “大事不好！”公爵一下子脸色惨白，几乎要哭出来，“这下可怎么向国王交代啊！”

"Oh, no! This is terrible!" The Duke turned pale and almost burst into tears. "How will I explain this to the King now!"

18. 继母和继姐们露出暗自得意的笑容，心想没有水晶鞋证明，灰姑娘就无法被选中了。

The stepmother and stepsisters exchanged secret smiles of triumph, thinking that without the slipper as proof, Cinderella could not be chosen.

19. 然而灰姑娘却毫不慌张。

However, Cinderella remained calm.

20. 她从口袋里拿出另一个闪闪发亮的水晶鞋，温柔地说：“不用担心，公爵先生，我这里还有另一只呢。”

She reached into her pocket and pulled out the other sparkling glass slipper. "Don't worry, Your Grace," she said gently. "I have the other slipper right here."

21. 公爵惊喜万分，连忙捧过那只完整的水晶鞋，小心地为灰姑娘穿上。

The Duke was overjoyed. He hurriedly took the intact slipper and carefully slipped it onto Cinderella's foot.

22. 完美合脚！那水晶鞋正好合灰姑娘的脚，没有一点松动或勉强，就像专门为她做的一样。

It fit perfectly! The glass slipper fit Cinderella's foot with not a bit of pinching or looseness, as if it had been made just for her.

23. “找到了！”公爵兴奋地喊道，“您就是王子一直在找的女孩！”

"We've found her!" the Duke exclaimed excitedly. "You are the girl the Prince has been searching for!"

24. 继母和继姐们听到这话，全都张大了嘴巴，说不出话来。

The stepmother and stepsisters heard this and dropped their jaws, unable to say a word.

25. 灰姑娘露出欣喜又含蓄的笑容，终于，属于她的幸福时刻来临了。

Cinderella gave a joyful yet modest smile. At long last, her moment of happiness had arrived.
