Chapter 5: The Little Prince and the Aviator

1. 在沙漠里，小王子遇见了一位坠机的飞行员。

The Little Prince met an aviator whose plane had crashed in the desert.

2. 飞行员正忙着修理飞机，看到小王子走过来很惊讶。

The aviator was busy fixing his plane and was surprised to see the Little Prince.

3. 小王子轻声说：“请你给我画一只羊吧。”

The Little Prince said softly, 'Please, draw me a sheep.'

4. 飞行员很困惑，但还是拿出纸和笔画了一只羊。

The aviator was confused, but he took out paper and drew a sheep.

5. 小王子摇摇头，说：“这只太瘦了。”

The Little Prince shook his head and said, 'This one is too thin.'

6. 飞行员又画了一只，小王子说：“这只太老了。”

The aviator drew another, but the Little Prince said, 'This one is too old.'

7. 最后，飞行员画了一个盒子，说羊就在里面。

Finally, the aviator drew a box and said the sheep was inside.

8. 小王子高兴地笑了，因为这正是他想要的。

The Little Prince laughed happily, for this was exactly what he wanted.

9. 从那以后，他们开始交谈，成为好朋友。

From then on, they began to talk and became good friends.

10. 飞行员听小王子讲他的星球和玫瑰，感到很惊奇。

The aviator listened to the Little Prince talk about his planet and rose, and was amazed.

11. 小王子说：“人们总是忙着数星星，却忘了身边的花。”

The Little Prince said, 'People are always busy counting stars, but they forget the flowers nearby.'

12. 飞行员沉默了，他感到小王子说得很对。

The aviator was silent, realizing the Little Prince was right.

13. 小王子告诉他：“真正重要的东西，用眼睛是看不见的。”

The Little Prince told him, 'What is essential is invisible to the eyes.'

The aviator was moved, realizing it was a profound truth.

They shared water and bread in the desert, keeping each other company.

The aviator no longer felt lonely, because the Little Prince brought him hope.

Sometimes the Little Prince looked at the stars, full of longing.

The aviator asked, 'What are you thinking about?'

The Little Prince whispered, 'I am thinking of my rose. She is waiting for me.'

The aviator looked at him with deep respect in his heart.
