Chapter 12: The Thought of Going Home

The tea party is too absurd, and Alice can no longer bear it.

She thinks, “I’ve had enough. I want to go home.”

She mutters, “Who cares where that rabbit goes, really!”

Alice feels both helpless and ironic.

She grumbles as she walks, “If not for that rabbit, I would never be in all this nonsense.”

She walks carefully along the forest path.

She walks while thinking of a way back home.

Suddenly, a group of strange animals appears.

Alice says as she walks, “When I get home, I must write a book about this place!”

The animals hear her words and nod in agreement.

One animal warns her, “Don’t step on the green-furred pig!”

Alice pauses in surprise, then cannot help laughing.

These strange animals walk and form themselves into the shape of an arrow.

They point like a signpost, guiding Alice forward.

Alice is overjoyed when she sees this.

She thinks, “At last, someone is showing me the way!”

She runs quickly along the path.

She cannot wait to go home.

Her heart is full of hope.

Suddenly, a strange “broom-dog” appears.

It sweeps the road away with its broom.

The path ahead vanishes instantly.

Alice has no way forward and must stop where she is.

She stands sadly in place, not knowing what to do.

Just then, she feels that someone is looking for her.

A new hope rises in Alice’s heart.
