Chapter 5: The Meeting in the Forest

1. The princess sang in the forest and danced with the animals.

2. Just then, a prince passed by, leading his horse.

3. It was the first time the princess had seen a stranger, and she felt nervous.

4. The prince said, “We have met before.”

5. The prince asked, “What is your name?”

6. The princess was about to answer, but then she remembered the fairies’ warning.

7. She quickly turned and walked away.

8. The prince asked, “When can we meet again?”

9. The princess said, “Never… perhaps someday.”

10. The prince asked again, “Can we meet tomorrow?”

11. The princess said, “Tonight, at the little cottage beyond the valley.”

12. The fairies were preparing a birthday cake and a beautiful princess dress for her.

13. When the princess returned, she said happily, “This is the happiest day of my life! Everything is so wonderful.”

14. “You will soon meet him.”

15. The fairies were shocked.

16. The princess said, “I saw him in my dreams.”

17. The fairies said anxiously, “This is terrible! On the day you were born, you were betrothed to Prince Phillip.”

18. The princess exclaimed, “That’s impossible! How can I marry a prince?”

19. The fairies said seriously, “Because you are a princess.”

20. “You are Princess Aurora.”

21. “Tonight, we will take you back to the king and queen.”

22. The princess said sadly, “No! He will come here tonight.”

23. Crying, she ran into the cottage.

24. At that moment, a raven was listening by the window.

25. It quickly flew away to report back to the evil witch.
