Chapter 6: The Prince’s Choice

1. As the sun set, the king waited all day, but still saw no one arrive.

2. Hubert and the king celebrated the marriage between Prince Phillip and the princess.

3. Prince Phillip returned.

4. He told his father, “I met a girl, and it felt as if I had seen her in a dream.”

5. “I want to marry her. I don’t know who she is, perhaps just a peasant girl.”

6. The old king shouted, “Are you joking?”

7. “No, you cannot do this to me!”

8. “To give up your throne and your kingdom for an unknown girl?”

9. “I forbid you to do this!”

10. “You are a prince, and you can only marry a princess!”

11. But the prince did not obey. He rode away to marry the girl he loved.

12. The old king was very upset and did not know how to explain this to King Stefan.
