第二章：仙女的办法

Chapter 2: The Fairies’ Plan

1. 国王仍然担心女儿的生命安全。

The king was still worried about his daughter’s safety.

2. 因而下令将全国的纺车烧毁。

So he ordered all the spinning wheels in the kingdom to be burned.

3. 人民一律照办不误。

The people obeyed his order at once.

4. 三位仙女焦急地想办法阻止黑巫女的诅咒。

The three fairies anxiously tried to find a way to stop the evil witch’s curse.

5. 绿色仙女说：“我们可以给黑巫女讲道理。”

The green fairy said, “We could try to reason with Maleficent.”

6. 其他仙女摇头说：“她不会有一点良心的。”

The other fairies shook their heads and said, “She has no kindness in her heart.”

7. 蓝色仙女想把黑巫婆变成一只肥蛤蟆。

The blue fairy wanted to turn the witch into a fat toad.

8. 可惜，她的法力办不到。

Sadly, her magic was not strong enough.

9. 红色仙女说：“一定会有办法的！”

The red fairy said, “There must be a way!”

10. 她忽然想到一个办法，把公主变成一朵花。

Suddenly, she thought of a plan—to turn the princess into a flower.

11. 可是其他仙女说：“冬天下雪，花朵会冻死的。”

But the other fairies said, “In winter, the flower would freeze.”

12. 于是，她们又开始想别的办法。

So they started thinking of another plan.

13. 红色仙女再次想起一个主意。

Then the red fairy thought of another idea.

14. 她说：“这是唯一的办法了。”

She said, “This is the only way.”

15. “我们将化身为三个农妇，在森林深处，把孩子抚养成人。”

“We shall disguise ourselves as peasant women and raise the child deep in the forest.”

16. 说着，她们三个变成了农妇。

As she spoke, the three of them turned into peasant women.

17. 国王和王后怀着沉重的心情，看着他们唯一心爱的女儿消失在夜幕中。

With heavy hearts, the king and queen watched their only beloved daughter disappear into the night.
