第二章：被嘲笑

Chapter 2 ：Laughed At

小飞象渐渐长大，他常常和马戏团里的其他小动物玩耍。
Dumbo grew up little by little, and he often played with other young animals in the circus.

然而，他那双大耳朵总是拖在地上。
However, his big ears always dragged on the ground.

每当他跑动时，耳朵就像翅膀一样甩来甩去。
Whenever he ran, his ears flapped around like wings.

其他动物看到这一幕，总是哈哈大笑。
Other animals always laughed when they saw this.

大家看到小飞象走路，耳朵拖到地上，身体却小小的。
Everyone saw Dumbo walking, with his ears dragging on the ground while his body was so small.

他们忍不住笑起来，说：“他大耳朵、小身体，真呆呀！”
They couldn’t help laughing, “His big ears and small body look so silly!”

小飞象听不懂这些话，但看见别人笑自己，他心里很难过。
Dumbo didn’t understand the words, but when he saw others laughing at him, he felt very sad.

他们叫他“怪耳朵”，还编出笑话来取笑他。
They called him “Funny Ears” and made jokes to tease him.

有的小动物甚至不愿意和他一起玩。
Some animals even refused to play with him.

小飞象感到非常孤单。
Dumbo felt very lonely.

他走到哪里，都有人盯着他的耳朵看。
Wherever he went, others stared at his ears.

他低着头，不敢抬起眼睛。
He lowered his head, not daring to lift his eyes.

有时候，他想用耳朵遮住自己。
Sometimes, he wanted to hide behind his ears.

一天，在马戏团的训练场上，其他大象正在表演节目。
One day, at the circus training ground, the other elephants were performing.

小飞象想要加入，可是他们推开了他。
Dumbo wanted to join, but they pushed him away.

“你不适合！”他们冷冷地说。
“You don’t belong here!” they said coldly.

小飞象退到角落里，眼里含着泪水。
Dumbo stepped back into the corner, tears in his eyes.

观众们第一次看到他时，也忍不住笑出声。
When the audience saw him for the first time, they also laughed out loud.

人们窃窃私语，说：“这是什么奇怪的小象？”
People whispered, “What a strange little elephant!”

小飞象的心被刺痛了。
Dumbo’s heart was hurt.

他想：“为什么我不能和别人一样呢？”
He thought, “Why can’t I be like the others?”

每次被嘲笑，他都跑去找妈妈。
Every time he was laughed at, he ran to his mother.

只有妈妈会温柔地安慰他。
Only his mother would comfort him gently.

她告诉他：“孩子，你和别人不一样，但这并不可怕。”
She told him, “My child, you are different, but that is not scary.”

“你一定有你特别的地方。”
“You must have something special in you.”

小飞象静静听着，却还是忍不住难过。
Dumbo listened quietly, but he still felt sad.

他不知道未来会怎样。
He did not know what the future would be like.

但是，他渴望有一天能被大家接纳。
But he longed for the day when he would be accepted.
