Chapter 6 · Circus Star

当小飞象第一次飞起来时，全场都惊呆了。
When Dumbo first took off into the air, everyone was stunned.

观众从未见过一只会飞的大象。
The audience had never seen a flying elephant before.

灯光照在他的大耳朵上，像金色的翅膀在空中闪耀。
The lights shone on his big ears, making them look like golden wings in the air.

小飞象越飞越高，越飞越稳。
Dumbo flew higher and higher, steadier and steadier.

孩子们尖叫着，兴奋地挥动双手。
The children screamed and waved their hands excitedly.

人们从惊讶变成欢呼。
People’s surprise turned into cheers.

那些曾经笑话他的人，如今都为他鼓掌。
Those who once laughed at him now clapped for him.

马戏团的老板也激动得合不拢嘴。
Even the circus owner couldn’t stop smiling.

小老鼠站在台边，大声喊：“你能行，小飞象！”
The little mouse stood by the stage and shouted, “You can do it, Dumbo!”

小飞象在空中飞了一圈，又优雅地降落在台上。
Dumbo circled in the air and gracefully landed on the stage.

掌声像海浪一样响起。
The applause rose like waves.

那一刻，小飞象成为真正的明星。
At that moment, Dumbo became a true star.

从那以后，每次演出都有他。
From then on, he performed in every show.

每当他展开大耳朵飞上天空，观众都发出惊叹。
Every time he spread his ears and soared up, the audience gasped in wonder.

可是，小飞象的心里仍然想着妈妈。
Yet, deep inside, Dumbo still missed his mother.

他知道，她还被关在那间孤单的小屋里。
He knew she was still locked away in that lonely cage.

一天夜里，小老鼠悄悄告诉他：“我有个主意。”
One night, the little mouse whispered, “I have an idea.”

第二天，他们在表演结束后飞向那个小屋。
The next day, after the show, they flew toward the little cage.

母象听见风声，抬头看见了飞在夜空中的儿子。
Hearing the wind, Dumbo’s mother looked up and saw her son flying in the night sky.

小飞象轻轻降落，伸出耳朵抱住妈妈。
Dumbo landed softly and wrapped his ears around his mother.

妈妈的眼泪掉了下来，她温柔地说：“你终于自由了。”
Tears filled her eyes as she whispered, “You’re finally free.”

小飞象笑了，眼里闪着星光。
Dumbo smiled, his eyes sparkling like stars.

后来，马戏团的人决定释放母象，让他们团聚。
Later, the circus people decided to free his mother so they could be together.

从此，小飞象再也不是笑话，而是奇迹。
From then on, Dumbo was no longer a joke, but a miracle.

在蓝天之下，他和妈妈、朋友一起，幸福地生活在一起。
Beneath the blue sky, Dumbo lived happily with his mother and his friends.
