第一章：丛林里的婴儿
Chapter One: The Baby in the Jungle 暴风雨的夜晚，一艘大船在非洲海岸遇难。
One stormy night, a great ship was wrecked on the coast of Africa. 一对年轻的夫妇带着他们的婴儿逃上岸。
A young couple escaped to shore with their baby. 他们在丛林中找到了一个安静的地方。
They found a quiet place deep in the jungle. 父亲用木头和树叶建起一座小屋。
The father built a small house with wood and leaves. 母亲在屋里轻轻摇着婴儿入睡。
The mother gently rocked the baby to sleep. “这里就是我们的新家。”父亲笑着说。
“This will be our new home,” said the father with a smile. 不远处，一群大猩猩在森林里生活。
Not far away, a family of gorillas lived in the forest. 母猩猩卡拉和雄猩猩科查克是族群的领袖。
The mother gorilla, Kala, and the strong leader, Kerchak, led the group. 一天夜里，卡拉的孩子被豹子萨博尔袭击。
One night, Kala’s baby was attacked by the leopard Sabor. 卡拉痛哭不已，心中空荡荡的。
Kala wept bitterly; her heart felt empty. 忽然，她听到了远处传来的婴儿哭声。
Suddenly, she heard a baby crying in the distance. 她循声走去，看见了一座人类的小屋。
She followed the sound and found a little human house. 屋子被毁了，地上散落着破碎的木板。
The house was broken, and pieces of wood lay everywhere. 一只豹子躲在角落里，正盯着婴儿。
A leopard was hiding in the corner, watching the baby. 卡拉冲上前，奋力与豹子搏斗。
Kala rushed forward and fought the leopard bravely. 她抱起婴儿，拼命逃出小屋。
She grabbed the baby and ran out of the house. 她跳过河流，爬上藤蔓，终于甩掉了豹子。
She leapt over the river, climbed the vines, and finally escaped. 回到族群，科查克严肃地问：“这是谁？”
Back with the gorillas, Kerchak asked sternly, “Who is that?” “他没有家，我要照顾他。”卡拉轻声说。
“He has no family. I will take care of him,” said Kala softly. 她抱紧婴儿，微笑着说：“你将叫泰山。”
She held the baby close and smiled. “Your name will be Tarzan.” |
