Chapter Four: New Friends and a New World

泰山把简带到一处安全的空地。
Tarzan took Jane to a safe clearing.

简紧张地看着他，不知如何开口。
Jane looked at him nervously, not knowing what to say.

泰山好奇地模仿她的一举一动。
Tarzan curiously copied her every move.

他轻轻触摸她的脸，惊讶于她的皮肤颜色。
He gently touched her face, surprised by her pale skin.

简又惊又笑：“你真奇怪！”
Jane gasped and laughed. “You’re so strange!”

泰山指着自己说：“泰山。”
Tarzan pointed to himself and said, “Tarzan.”

她指着自己说：“简。”
She pointed to herself and said, “Jane.”

两人对视，微笑着。
They looked at each other and smiled.

这时，波特教授和克莱顿找到了他们。
Just then, Professor Porter and Clayton found them.

克莱顿举起枪，警惕地看着泰山。
Clayton raised his gun, watching Tarzan carefully.

简连忙拦住他说：“别开枪！他救了我！”
Jane quickly stopped him. “Don’t shoot! He saved me!”

泰山听不懂他们的语言，只好退后一步。
Tarzan didn’t understand their words and stepped back.

卡拉远远地看见他和人类在一起，心中担忧。
From afar, Kala saw him with the humans and felt worried.

科查克命令族群离人类远一点。
Kerchak ordered the gorillas to stay away from the humans.

但简每天都回来，教泰山新东西。
But Jane returned every day to teach Tarzan new things.

她教他画画、认字母，还讲人类的故事。
She taught him to draw, read letters, and told him stories of humans.

泰山看着画里的城市，第一次心生向往。
Tarzan looked at the drawings of the city and felt a longing in his heart.

“我也想去那里。”他说。
“I want to go there,” he said softly.

简笑了：“那就去吧——等我们研究结束后。”
Jane smiled. “Then come with us—when our work is done.”

泰山看着她，心里第一次有了不一样的感觉。
Tarzan looked at her, feeling something new in his heart.
