Chapter Six: Traps and Betrayal

泰山带简和波特教授来到大猩猩的山谷。
Tarzan brought Jane and Professor Porter to the gorillas’ valley.

猩猩们好奇地围上来，打量这些陌生人。
The gorillas gathered around curiously, watching the strangers.

卡拉微笑着欢迎他们，但科查克仍旧冷峻。
Kala smiled to welcome them, but Kerchak remained stern.

简轻声说：“我们只是来观察，不会伤害任何人。”
Jane said softly, “We’re only here to observe, not to hurt anyone.”

泰山开心极了，他以为两个世界终于能和谐相处。
Tarzan was overjoyed; he thought the two worlds could finally live in peace.

然而，克莱顿心里另有计划。
But Clayton had another plan in mind.

他悄悄记下了山谷的方向。
He secretly marked the direction of the valley.

当晚，简告诉泰山他们要回英国了。
That night, Jane told Tarzan they would soon return to England.

泰山惊讶地问：“你走了，我怎么办？”
Tarzan asked in surprise, “What about me when you leave?”

简握住他的手，说：“和我们一起去吧。”
Jane held his hand and said, “Come with us.”

泰山犹豫不决，他不想离开卡拉和族群。
Tarzan hesitated; he didn’t want to leave Kala and his family.

克莱顿趁机劝说：“如果你带我们去看猩猩，我们可以带简留下。”
Clayton said slyly, “If you show us the gorillas, maybe Jane can stay.”

泰山相信了他，带人类再次回到山谷。
Tarzan believed him and led the humans back to the valley.

科查克愤怒地冲上前：“你背叛了我们！”
Kerchak roared, “You’ve betrayed us!”

克莱顿突然开枪，惊吓了所有猩猩。
Clayton suddenly fired his gun, scaring all the gorillas.

猩猩们四散逃开。
The gorillas scattered in panic.

泰山这才明白，克莱顿根本只想抓走他们。
Tarzan realized too late—Clayton only wanted to capture them.

卡拉拼命保护小猩猩。
Kala fought to protect the young ones.

科查克被克莱顿击倒，重重摔在地上。
Kerchak was struck down by Clayton and fell to the ground.

泰山怒吼一声，誓要为家人而战。
Tarzan let out a furious roar—he would fight for his family.
