第二章：国王的儿子 Chapter Two: The King’s Son
太阳升起，辛巴在洞穴里伸了个懒腰。
The sun rose as Simba stretched inside the cave. 他迫不及待要看父亲的王国。
He couldn’t wait to see his father’s kingdom. 木法沙带他到荣耀石的顶端。
Mufasa took him to the top of Pride Rock. “辛巴，看，这一切都会成为你的。”
“Simba, look. Everything the light touches is our kingdom.” 辛巴睁大眼睛：“这么大？”
Simba widened his eyes. “All of it?” “是的，但国王必须明白平衡与责任。”
“Yes, but a king must understand balance and responsibility.” 木法沙解释生命循环：吃草的动物、捕猎者、青草重新生长。
Mufasa explained the circle of life: the eaters of grass, the hunters, and the grass growing again. “我们都在这生命的轮回中。”
“We are all connected in the Circle of Life.” 辛巴认真地点点头，却仍不太明白。
Simba nodded seriously, though he didn’t fully understand. 这时，刀疤在阴影中出现。
Just then, Scar appeared from the shadows. “哼，未来的国王来啦。”刀疤冷冷地说。
“Well, well, the future king,” Scar said coldly. 辛巴天真地跑过去：“叔叔，早上好！”
Simba ran up innocently. “Good morning, Uncle Scar!” 刀疤装出笑容：“你知道象墓地吗？那是个……危险又刺激的地方。”
Scar smirked. “Do you know about the Elephant Graveyard? It’s… dangerous and exciting.” 辛巴立刻被吸引：“真的？我能去吗？！”
Simba’s eyes lit up. “Really? Can I go?!” 刀疤假装慌张：“哦不，你可不能去。尤其不能带上你的朋友娜娜。”
Scar pretended to panic. “Oh no, you must never go there. Especially not with your little friend Nala.” 辛巴越听越兴奋，完全落入圈套。
Simba grew even more excited, not realizing it was a trap. 木法沙回来时，刀疤立刻温顺地退开。
When Mufasa returned, Scar quickly backed away. 木法沙望向辛巴：“记住，你要成为一个真正的国王。”
Mufasa looked at Simba. “Remember, you must become a true king.” 辛巴抬起头：“爸爸，我会像你一样伟大。”
Simba lifted his head proudly. “I’ll be as great as you!” 木法沙轻声笑了：“做你自己，就已经足够了。”
Mufasa smiled softly. “Being yourself is enough.” |
