第一章：被禁止的音乐 Chapter One: The Forbidden Music 在墨西哥的一个小镇上，住着一个叫米格的小男孩。
In a small town in Mexico, there lived a young boy named Miguel. 米格尔的家族世世代代都是做鞋子的。
Miguel’s family had been shoemakers for generations. 但在这个家里，音乐是被严格禁止的。
But in this family, music was strictly forbidden. 家族里有一个秘密，被贴在墙上的照片记录着。
There was a family secret, shown in a photo on the wall. 照片中，有一个人的脸被撕掉了。
In the photo, one person’s face had been torn away. 曾祖母伊梅尔达说，那个人为了音乐抛弃了家人。
Great-Grandmother Imelda said that man abandoned his family for music. 从那天起，家族立下规矩：不许再碰音乐。
From that day on, the family made a rule: no more music. 可是米格尔却偷偷爱上了音乐。
But Miguel secretly fell in love with music. 他最崇拜的，是一位传奇歌手——德拉库斯。
His greatest idol was a legendary singer—Ernesto de la Cruz. 米格尔常常躲在屋顶，模仿他弹吉他。
Miguel often hid on the rooftop, copying him on the guitar. 他梦想有一天，能站在舞台上唱歌。
He dreamed of standing on a stage and singing one day. 可每次被家人发现，他都会被阻止。
But every time his family found out, they stopped him. 亡灵节快到了，家里开始准备祭坛。
The Day of the Dead was coming, and the family prepared the altar. 米格尔注意到，祭坛上的照片里缺少那个人。
