Chapter Four: Finding the Great-Great-Grandfather

Miguel ran through the streets of the Land of the Dead, looking for someone to help him.

He needed a blessing from an ancestor to return to the living world before sunrise.

Miguel believed the erased great-great-grandfather must be Ernesto de la Cruz.

To meet his idol, he decided to go to the luxurious part of the city.

But without an invitation, spirits could not enter that area.

Just then, Miguel met a down-on-his-luck skeleton named Héctor.

Héctor agreed to help him sneak in, but he had a condition.

“You have to take my photo to the living world,” Héctor said.

Miguel hesitated, then nodded and agreed.

The two teamed up to plan their way into the music party.

Héctor was good at singing and dancing, quickly drawing attention.

Miguel also took the stage and showed his musical talent on the guitar.

The spirits in the crowd were moved by their performance.

Miguel earned a chance to enter the exclusive area.

He finally met his idol, Ernesto de la Cruz.

Ernesto welcomed him warmly and praised his music.

Miguel excitedly said, “I’m your family!”

Ernesto was shocked but pleased and agreed to give him a blessing.

Miguel thought his dream was finally coming true.

But he didn’t know the real truth was still hidden in the shadows.
