Chapter Three: Under Tyranny

English rule brought heavy oppression to Scotland.

English soldiers entered villages freely.

They took food and humiliated the people.

The Scottish people lived in fear.

William witnessed all of this.

Anger filled his heart.

But he tried to remain restrained.

He hoped to live a peaceful life.

However, tyranny did not stop.

English officers grew more brutal.

They trampled on villagers’ freedom.

William’s village was not spared.

Tragedy was approaching.

People began to whisper complaints.

The seeds of rebellion were quietly planted.

Fear and anger mixed in their hearts.

The land of Scotland was crying.

William knew change was coming.

Tyranny would lead to rebellion.
