Chapter Two: The Girl in the Tower

乐佩在高塔里迎来了新的一天。

Rapunzel welcomed a new day in her tall tower.

阳光从窗户照进来，洒在她的金色长发上。

Sunlight shone through the window onto her golden hair.

她用头发把窗户擦得干干净净。

She cleaned the windows with her hair.

她扫地、擦桌子，让房间一尘不染。

She swept and wiped until the room was spotless.

她在地上画画，把心里的世界画出来。

She painted her dreams on the floor.

她弹起吉他，为自己唱歌。

She played her guitar and sang.

她用头发荡在空中，像在飞一样。

She swung in the air using her hair.

她也会烤饼干，做饭给自己吃。

She baked cookies and cooked meals.

一天里，她做了很多事情。

She did many things each day.

可她还是感到孤单。

But she still felt lonely.

她走到窗前，看向远方的天空。

She looked out the window.

天空中仿佛浮现出无数闪亮的天灯。

Glowing lanterns filled her thoughts.

她轻声问自己：那到底是什么？

She softly wondered what they were.

这时，葛索妈妈回到了高塔。

Just then, Mother Gothel returned.

她用甜美的声音叫乐佩。

She called Rapunzel sweetly.

乐佩把长发从窗户放下。

Rapunzel let her hair down.

葛索顺着头发爬进塔里。

Gothel climbed up the hair.

她像往常一样假装关心乐佩。

She pretended to care.

她提醒乐佩外面的世界很危险。

She warned the outside world was dangerous.

但乐佩的心已经开始向外飞去。

But Rapunzel’s heart wanted more.
